Hi, we upgraded to events calendar PRO to 3.0.5 recently, and it’s broken our custom events-advanced-list-load-widget-display.php. We’ve been using this plugin for a few years now.
We had originally put this in an “events” folder in our custom theme to override the plugin. But now, it seems to no longer detect it. I saw in the documentation to use an “tribe-events” folder, so I renamed the folder to no avail. Any advice on how to get the custom events widget to show up among our widgets? We do see all of the other default event widgets (calendar, default list, etc.). Here is a link to the custom widgets we had been using. https://github.com/jrue/CalPress/tree/master/events
    Thanks!

OK, I didn’t find out why it wasn’t working any longer, but looking at this page it appears you can’t use the events folder any longer and you need an tribes-events folder, with a widgets folder inside that. https://theeventscalendar.com/adding-post-thumbnails-to-the-events-list-widget/ In addition to that, the name of the widget is list-widget.php now.

That’s right, there have been a few changes and that particular template no longer exists – the best place to get an overview of the changes and new structures is our updated themer’s guide:
