custom category calendar

Hello I have a site that needs more then the one calendar displayed is there a way of displaying a calendar of only 1 category so i have ‘classes’ as everything but i need a ‘special guest classes’ to have its own calendar on a different page?

also needs to be a different layout say the photo view that there is?

How can i achieve this as i don’t see the point in adding categories to events if you cant filter them?

Hi James,

You can indeed. Here’s an example from our demo site showing a specific category in month view (noting the form of the URL):

http://wpshindig.com/events/category/wordpress-meetups/month/

Similarly, this works with photo view:

http://wpshindig.com/events/category/wordpress-meetups/photo/

Do note that there is currently a bug whereby navigating forward/backward a month or more will result in the category being “dropped” and it will simply revert to showing a normal month – but we’re aware of this and will be remedying this issue in an upcoming maintenance release 🙂
