Here is the CSV I’m trying to import with all my events: https://www.dropbox.com/s/waka1b41oqlay47/ticket-import-all-fields-test.csv?dl=0

I’m not sure if the importer is correctly handling the double quotes or what exactly is happening, but it imports fine when I remove the Description field.

I’m guessing this is some kind of an importer bug, but are there any suggestions for getting the description imported so this doesn’t have to be done one-by-one?

When importing the above file, not all of the events import and the fields start to shift into the wrong columns. As far as I can see, the CSV file properly escapes special characters by using double quotes “” and quotes around commas.

    Brendan,

I’m sorry to hear that you’re having problems with the CSV import. I will try to help you get this figured out.

I took a look at your csv file, and I discovered an “&” that hasn’t been escaped. It is in “Ladies Sip & Swing 2018.”

I changed the & to & and the csv then imported all the events correctly. So change the above to “Ladies Sip & Swing 2018”

Edit: I am unable to get this to show without it being resolved into the “&” symbol. I am attaching a pic:

I do see some characters that aren’t resolving due to non UTF-8 format, but that isn’t preventing it from importing.

Give that a try and let me know if it works for you.

    Thanks,
    Sky

Ok, good to know for the future. I was bumping up against a deadline so I went and added the descriptions manually but I will watch out for this.
