MemberHi Brian:
If i go to the event and say i want to add 3 tickets to my cart its sends me to the cart. Everything works for now. If i go back to my eventslist and go to the same event(!) and add again 3 Tickets to my cart it sends me the secont time to the cart. Works until now. Now there are 2 times 3 tickets “ABC” in my cart. But the stock would only be 5?
This would certainly be a problem. Give me a moment to check it out and I’ll get right back to you.

MemberHi again Brian,
If I try to replicate the steps you outlined I see the expected error:

Trying to steam ahead and purchase anyway results in a further rebuttal. I do recall a similar issue from a number of releases back, though. Just for the avoidance of any doubt can you confirm the plugin versions you are currently using for The Events Calendar, EDD and EDD Tickets?
June 27, 2014 at 11:44 pm #256831websource
ParticipantI confirm to use the newest versions of all plugins named.
On your screenshot theres only one ticket shown. So again.
Event a has a maximum of 5 tickets.
Person A wents to Event A and selects 3 tickets. Im now at the cart. Then i go back to my hole eventlist and select again the event A. I want to select another 3 tivkets and im again at the cart.
Now it shows me two lines(!) of the same ticket from the same event. I can purchase them but there arent that much tickets left. No message! It just went through..June 28, 2014 at 3:45 am #257213websource
ParticipantHi
Here are some screenshots to prove. The System was new built up! Nothing unnecessary is now on the Server. Everything stays the same..
So i built up the Event and set the ticket:

I added the amount of tickets like told above (no message!):

I ordered them (everything worked)???:

MemberI understand what you’re saying – I just can’t replicate the same thing.
Event a has a maximum of 5 tickets.
OK.
Person A wents to Event A and selects 3 tickets. Im now at the cart. Then i go back to my hole eventlist and select again the event A. I want to select another 3 tivkets and im again at the cart.
I followed this step.
Now it shows me two lines(!) of the same ticket from the same event.
Yes, I see that – the screenshot I shared previously was a simplified test of the same problem, but yes I can run through this such that I end up with 2 or more line items.
I can purchase them but there arent that much tickets left. No message! It just went through..
This what I can’t achieve. When I try to checkout it stops me and displays the appropriate error message.
I don’t doubt you are experiencing exactly what you described – and I’d love to replicate it so I can figure out what’s going wrong, but perhaps a step is missing. Is it possible for you to record a screencast and share it, via Jing/YouTube/similar?
Or itemize the steps in more minute detail? Sorry for the inconvenience – but as you can appreciate it’s very hard to assist when we can’t replicate the same thing.
Thanks!

ParticipantHi Barry
There you go:

MemberThank you: please bear with me a little longer.
I still can’t replicate but that may be human error on my part – so I’m going to ask a colleague to take a look in case I’m simply missing the obvious. As we’re coming off a holiday weekend there may be a slight delay before someone next updates the thread (just because we often have a larger number of unaddressed threads than normal to deal with after long weekends) – but get back to you we will 🙂
Thanks for your continued support and patience.

MemberHey Brian! Rob from Modern Tribe here. Just a heads up that up we’re still looking into this – as Barry noted in his last update, we’ve thus far been unable to reproduce the issue, which makes it a bit challenging to diagnose.
That said: since Barry is out for the rest of the week, and I want to keep this moving, I’ve assigned it to another team member who will attempt to troubleshoot. We’ll have another update for you here shortly….your patience thus far is greatly appreciated.

MemberHi Brian:
Thanks again for bringing this issue to our attention and your patience while we investigate. I setup a brand new WordPress 3.9.1 test site using Twenty Fourteen theme with The Events Calendar (3.9.1), Events Calendar PRO (3.9.1), EDD Tickets (3.9) and Easy Digital Downloads (2.0.4).
Good News, well Bad for us at Modern Tribe is that I have been able to duplicate the issue you are seeing utilizing the steps you outlined. I repeatedly get the same behavior you outline where when I add the same ticket multiple times from the event page the sale goes through even when the total count of tickets exceeds the stock.
I’ve created a bug ticket on this in our system and will be having a developer look into the issue. I’ll keep you up-dated as we resolve this.
Thanks for your continued patience.

MemberHi there,
I just wanted to drop in and update you on the status of this issue. We are working on a fix, but we were not able to include it in our upcoming release (3.7). Correcting this problem is still important to us and we hope to have a fix done for a future maintenance release. We will do our best to keep you updated here on our progress. Thank you for your patience and understanding while we work on this.
Best,

ParticipantHi Leah
Thats sad to hear. The Problem should be on Priority 1. Hope you’ll be able to give us a codefix before the release 3.8. Thanks for the Update.July 21, 2014 at 6:35 am #470415matthewdenton
MemberHi Brian:
