Hi, I’m wondering if this is possible using Events Calendar and Event tickets Plus:

We create an event that repeats daily and within that event sell three types of tickets.

The three types of tickets are based on times 7-9 am, 9-3 and 3-6pm. You can purchase a ticket for any of these times.

We would like our parents to be able to select any one of these tickets and then purchase either 1, 2 or all tickets for their child or children.

Here is the problem: If you have one child that attends 2 of the three sessions, the parent will have to enter that child’s details twice before heading to the checkout. If you have 2 children that attend 2 of the three sessions then the parent will have to enter their children’s details 4 times before heading to the checkout.

We like to capture important details like emergency phone numbers and medical details etc at this stage.

I’ve got a number of questions related to the above:

    1) Is there a way of reducing the amount of keying in for the parents when selecting tickets for these events that still allows us to know that child (a) is attending and that child (a) has the following emergency contact details and has the following medical condition?

    2) is there another way around this with the Events Calendar and Events ticket plus plugins that perhaps would allow the child to be selected first from a previous transaction and then they are able to select tickets to events they would like to attend and then reach the checkout?

If you have any reference sites that are employing the above I would be grateful for your help?

    Many thanks

    Regards

    Mike

    Hi Mike,

Thanks so much for reaching out and for your interest in our products!

With Event Tickets Plus, you have the option to add attendee information to each ticket that is purchased.  With that being said, there isn’t a way out of the box to make it so that your parents will not have to enter information if has already been entered if it is required information.

If you leave the field as not required, then they can opt to only enter the information once.  You can add some kind of caveat on that page to say that Emergency Contact information should be filled out at least once (or something along those lines).

To answer your second point, something similar can be achieved if you require parents to create a log in before purchasing tickets.  This way, the information will already be attached to their account, and can recognize the child and their corresponding information.

We have a great 30-day full refund policy, so if things really don’t work out the way you’d hoped, you can get a full refund.

Also, feel free to check out our demo site here.

Let me know if you have any other questions on this topic!

    Thanks,

    Jaime
