Creating a drop down for searching venue options?

We have a requirement for event calender for the website: http://www.coreconceptsaz.com/index.php/events

We have used your plugin for this. We are using a paid version for it. We need to customize it so that it can search over venue of the event and those venues will shown in the drop-down box. But on the venue field it seems like some content is coming from some API (attached screenshot). But we need to populate the drop-down only with those values which are in our database as venue. We have also added some as in the search fields.

Do you provide any plugin add-on for it or help so that we can just have our venues show up and not the additional Ajax list?
Are able to provide any guidance on updating this plugin according to our requirement?

Hi – I don’t see a screenshot and am not completely clear about what you are trying to achieve. Is this a new dropdown you wish to add, or are you customizing an existing one? If you could provide a few more details that would be awesome.

OK. Well that’s definitely possible. We’ve got a range of resources to help you get started with customizaions – the Themer’s Guide in particular being an awesome starting point:

In this instance you might be interested in the tribe-events-bar-filters filter hook (you can see where this comes into play within the modules/bar.php template, where tribe_events_get_filters() is called) – this would let you knock out and replace (or modify) the location search filter.

There are quite a few facets to this, but hopefully the above gives you a starting point.
