That’s a great question and I wish I had a solid answer for you. I am unfamiliar with other plugins that would seamlessly integrate with The Events Calendar to create a conference schedule.
The best I can think of would be to create an event for each conference activity and categorize them from there. Probably not the most ideal way to go about it, but that’s where I would likely start myself.
