Creating a buy anytime, use anytime, non-date specific ticket

I wanted to get in touch to hopefully get some help from you on clarifying what your plugin is capable of and how it would work in practice.

The Client
A venue based here in the UK. On a daily basis they have visitors to the venue. They also hold specific events on different days (seems to be easier to sort).

The Challenge
We need to incorporate General Admission tickets, where people can buy online whenever they want and use the tickets whenever they choose. They then need to be scanned at the point of entry to save time and admin.

Can we create anytime use tickets/products?
Is every one created given a unique and scannable QR or code?
Can you recommend a specific events plugin/way of working that integrates best with WooCommerce?

How would we best create and manage ticket types that can be used whenever we so choose?

Unfortunately this is not possible with our plugin 🙁 And I also don’t think it’s something simple to achieve customizing the plugin either. One thing that might work here is to sell gift cards or coupons, and then the user can use them to purchase the ticket the want.

Is every one created given a unique and scannable QR or code?

Tickets are given a QR and a unique alphanumeric code as well.

Can you recommend a specific events plugin/way of working that integrates best with WooCommerce?

Event Tickets Plus, our plugin to sell tickets for events work with WooCommerce out of the box 🙂

How would we best create and manage ticket types that can be used whenever we so choose?

You’ll need to create each ticket for each event manually, there’s no way to re-use a ticket configuration (although creating one is super straightforward and quick).

In conclusion what you are looking for is not possible out of the box, but if you decide to work with gift cards or coupons for the ‘anytime tickets’ then I think you are covered by our products.
