ParticipantI’m setting up a new WordPress site and 2x I have tried to install plugins for The Event Tickets, WooCommerce and Woo Tickets. Both time my site crashes (I can access front-end, but not the admin backend.) I tried installing them in different order each time, but same result. I’ve had to reload my database and files to recover my site.

ParticipantHi, umeworks. That sounds really frustrating!
First, have you tried changing your theme to a default one like Twenty Twelve and deactivating other plugins first? If so, did that make any difference?
Second, that great that you tried activating the three plugin in different orders. (We usually recommend that you make sure that The Events Calendar and WooCommerce are both installed and activated before attempting to activate WooCommerce Tickets.) Was there a particular plugin that always made the site go blank on activating or was it always after the third one (regardless of which one that was)?

ParticipantHi, umeworks. I’m afraid I can’t see your plugin list because I don’t have admin access to your site.
If that’s something that you’re open to sharing with us, that might be the quickest way to resolve the issue. Feel free to share in a private reply the credentials, and I can have a look.

ParticipantHowdy umeworks,
Unfortunately Kelly was pulled away for a few days. I will take over though so you get timely responses.
To be clear, is it acceptable if I go in, activate the default 2013 theme, and try installing the plugins myself? If there is something truly unusual about your hosting environment, then it is possible that this will lock us out of the Admin area once again. However, I have never seen an issue like this before. It is my hope that since I have done quite a few of these installs I will be able to get everything running properly. But, I can not make that guarantee given the givens. Please let me know. Thanks!

ParticipantHi Brook, Yes please try. I had already set up a 2nd WP installation on the default theme and as elaborated above, then was shut out of the admin area. So please try in the 1st restored site. I am using IX Web Hosting Linux Expert plan. I have used them a lot including for many other WP sites and have not had this problem before either.

ParticipantOh no! I did not see your response Umeworks. I am sooo sorry you have had to wait on this so long.
I am unable to login with those credentials. It seems that the username is correct but I am unable to get the password to work. Would you mind double checking that for me and reposting the password here?
I am on all day today. I will make sure to get this taken care of for you when you respond with the updated details.

ParticipantAlright, thank you. So the install went swimmingly. I am not locked out, so presumably you will not be either. I even added a test event with a WooTicket, and added it to my cart without a hitch. Everything appears to be working fine.
You might backup this site as it is before going in and activating plugins, switching themes, or importing content. It is possible that one of those steps will reintroduce a problem. If so make note of which one, and that will give you some extra information for debugging.
I hope the rest of the site goes smooth. Thanks again for your patience! I feel very bad that we ended up testing it at all, much less this long. Definitely not standard fare for our forums, as many happy customers will attest to. Cheers!

ParticipantHi Brook,
Thank you. I’m stil confused because I thought I had tested it with one of the 20xx themes, but at any rate, glad you were able to resolve. Thank you. So I tried to install the Sterling theme and it crashed it again! Do you know if this theme (pro version) is compatible with your plugins? http://demo.styledthemes.com/celestial-free/March 16, 2014 at 4:14 pm #119479umeworks
