ParticipantHi all, I’ve recently purchased WooTickets plugin, it’s all ok except the coupon features.
I know it’s part of WooCommerce platform and it seems to work well, but I cannot set coupon limit on events because I cannot select an event or an event category in the coupon filter fields, so It makes the coupon useless because I have to limit them to specific range of events.
Do you have a solution?
Thank you!September 12, 2013 at 12:45 pm #65665Kelly
ParticipantHi, vortikasrl. Welcome to the Modern Tribe community.
I think I understand that you’re looking to limit coupons to be limited to use on only certain tickets, right? As you say, this is done through the “Add New Coupon” screen in WooCommerce.
Basically, you’ll need to include or exclude tickets by the ticket name or number. As you type in the names, the tickets should appear in a drop down from the field.
Hopefully that helps. If you would like further clarification, just let me know where you’re running into trouble and I can try to explain further.
Thanks for being a TEC user!

ParticipantOk, thank you, just added successfully a filter by product entering, as you suggest, the ticket code.
What about filter by category? I tried entering name, short name or id number of event category but the drop down remains empty. Is there a trick to so?
Thank you very much for your fast support.September 12, 2013 at 2:01 pm #65677Kelly
ParticipantHi, vortikasrl. So glad to hear that we’re making progress. That’s great news.
Unfortunately, the word “category” is used in many different places and often for different taxonomies. The “categories” in TEC are different from those in WP which are different from those in WooCommerce. All tickets for all events are in the “Tickets” category of WooCommerce. The category of the event does not transfer or impact the category of the Ticket in WooCommerce. You can add another category to the ticket through the WooCommerce product area, but by then, it may just be simpler to specify each ticket in the coupon.
I’m sorry it is so confusing. Hopefully, that helps a little bit.
Please let us know how it goes!

ParticipantHi Kelly, thank you for your explanation, it’s all clear now.
Just created a specific product category for my ticket to allow cateogory filtering in coupon page.
May I suggest, in future version, to include a drop down in ticket edit page to associate the ticket/product to a product category without having to use product edit page?
Thank you again for your great and super fast support!
