Coupon codes or ticket bundles

I’m investigating this product for a client. So far it seems to do everything we need it to, except for when we offer package deals. A big revenue driver is the school, and they offer a bundle deal on several related courses.

I was thinking the easiest way to do this would be to offer two different ticket types on the main event (a week-long sailing course) with one including coupon codes for the other courses (radio, etc…) but I’m open to other ideas. What makes it extra challenging is that the courses run many times throughout the season (i.e. there is more than one radio course they could choose for their bundle).

Currently they’re doing everything by email but I’d like to offer a more streamlined solution.

Thanks for taking the time to reach out to us here–happy to hear that you’re considering Event Tickets Plus for your next client project! 🙂 Since Event Tickets Plus relies on your e-commerce platform of choice for all payment processing and order management tasks, most features that are supported by your selected platform, such as coupon codes, should work just fine. If you’re using WooCommerce, you might also consider adding on a WooCommerce extension that adds support for product bundles, such as this one:

However, it’s worth noting that some WooCommerce extensions may not work with Event Tickets Plus out of the box, particularly if they rely on WooCommerce product pages for any of their functionality. If you need (or simply want) to have tickets use the default WooCommerce product pages, you can enable this feature with a bit of code–this Knowledgebase article provides some more information on how to do just that.
