Countdown Widget not displaying events.

I’ve seen several notes about this issue of the countdown widget suddenly not working and I have been following the few tips that could possibly fix this issue such as making sure the timezones are all global, etc. Since my site is live I can’t switch the template or disable other plugins to test that issue but is there any hope of a fix for this coming soon? I have had this issue before and it has fixed itself relatively soon in the past but this widget is on my home page and has been broken for longer than usual. Please help!
