countdown to NEXT event widget possible?

Hi,
I love the countdown widget idea and was thinking it would be a great thing to add to our homepage with a countdown to the next event (I volunteer for a nonprofit that runs charity events) , but it looks like the countdown widget has to be set manually to which event it should count down to. Do you have any suggestions for how I could customize this to automatically countdown to the next event? Thanks!

Hi projectplaydate – fantastic idea and it would be worth adding to the feature suggestion page at tribe.uservoice.com – otherwise we’d have to leave something like this to you/the community to build.
