    Hello –

My team recently transferred our site to new hosting. Unfortunately there were some events created after we copied down production and are missing them in the new hosting environment. I was wondering your best recommended method on copying events calendar tables from the old database to the new without potentially overwriting any new events they’ve made while restoring the missing posts – do you have any documentation on this? I would do this by hand, but I’m realizing that they have many recurring events, so it makes it tricky. is there some sort of export/import feature that allows “overwrite if newer” kind of option? I see an import feature but no export for events.

    Thanks in advance!

    Hey Matt,

    Thanks for reaching out.

This is unfortunately one of this things that is a bit tricky to do well no matter what. But you may find the methods described here a bit more straightforward than others, and I would recommend checking these out ? https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/using-wordpress-export-tools-to-migrate-events-content/

Let us know if that helps!

Hey there! This thread has been pretty quiet for the last three weeks, so we’re going to go ahead and close it to avoid confusion with other topics. If you’re still looking for help with this, please do open a new thread, reference this one and we’d be more than happy to continue the conversation over there.

    Thanks so much!
