ParticipantArne, I’m afraid I can’t offer any help. I would like to urge Events Calendar to incorporate an event-copy function, which in the past I’ve seen others request as a feature. This may be more complex for the programmers than we users realize, but it would be a yuuuuge (to paraphrase you-know-who) addition to the CEPro’s functionality.

MemberGood evening Arne and welcome back!
Thank you for reaching out to us.
I would love to help you with this topic.I have some good news (that goes for you too @Jim). You can do exactly what you are looking for.
All you need to do is use a third-party plugin that allows you to clone or duplicate custom post types (in this case Events).
One of those plugins is even specifically tailored for the Events Calendar.Check it out: https://wordpress.org/plugins/duplicate-tec-event/
Let me know if that helps.
Have a great day!

ParticipantThanks Geoff,
this works great!July 26, 2016 at 8:43 am #1144237Jim
ParticipantThanks, Geoff. Backing up, holding my breath, as always with third-party plugins. The fewer of those the better, is my motto, though many are genius.
Maybe one day copying irregular events that do repeat can be a part of the Events Calendar Pro basic features. Seems logical.
Cheers,
Jim

@Jim,
I totally understand where you are coming from. The good news is, based on the feedback I have received so far, you should be safe with this one.
Furthermore, you are right, it would great to have this feature built-in.
Since we receive a large number of feature requests every month, we typically try to program the most popular ones first.
With that in mind you can vote for that very feature here: https://tribe.uservoice.com/forums/195723-feature-ideas/suggestions/3874714-duplicate-eventsBest regards,
