ParticipantHi! I found this link about adding additional fields for venues and organizers. I followed the directions and added all of the snippets to my functions.php file. But I dont understand how to implement this.

Let’s say I want to add the field Title to my organizer page. After doing everything indicated below, can you please tell me how do I do this? Where do I do this?

ParticipantHey Wendy,
Thanks for reaching out to us!
I’m not sure I’m following your request completely. To clarify:
- After adding the first snippet, are you able to see the additional fields created under the Event Settings > Additional Fields tab displaying on the edit screen when creating new Venues and Organizers?
- If so, when you add content (or selections) from those fields are they not showing up on the front-end for your venues and organizers?
Thanks!

ParticipantI dont understand what you mean.
After I entered the snippet, I looked in Settings/Additional Fields and what i saw was exactly what was there before. Additional fields that I created for my events, but no option to add additional fields to organizers/venues. In fact, I dont see any place at all to create a new field that would be associated with an organizer. I dont see it on the edit page when I create a new organizer/venue either.December 22, 2015 at 7:38 am #1045368Josh
ParticipantHey Wendy,
I reviewed the snippets and the tutorial again and I apologize for the confusion. The title of the tutorial can be a little misleading and to be honest it got me as well when looking at it.
What this tutorial does is allow for the built-in custom fields feature within WordPress to be added to the two post types (Organizer and Venue). This isn’t utilizing the Pro Additional Fields feature, it is providing a feature that is very similar to these post types.
So, when adding these snippets you should get the Custom Fields metabox added to your Venues and Organizer edit screen (https://cloudup.com/czTUCDvsuh3) and the information added here will be output into the Front-End templates for those views.
Let me know if this helps.
Thanks!
