Participantvserrano,
Thanks for getting in touch, and sorry to hear that you’re having issues here. Unfortunately, since this looks like a conflict with a specific feature of the third party theme that you’re using, we’re unable to provide support in situations like this. Due to the large number of WordPress themes that exist, and our limited support staff, we can’t provide support for all third-party themes.I would encourage you to reach out to the developer of your theme and see if there’s a way to disable the page transition on a page-by-page basis, which might fix the issue. We’d be happy to answer any questions that you or the developer might have regarding how our plugin works, if this will help them fix the conflict.
Again, sorry that we’re not able to provide much more support for this issue than that. Thanks! 🙂

ParticipantYes, my theme have a way to disable the page transition on a page-by-page basis , the problem is that there are no such “pages” in Event Calendar.
Event Calendar uses single-event.php, single-day.php to show content …
So the problem is not my theme, the problem is Event Calendar. Event Calendar NO offers a shortcode alternative.
I paid 100 euros for three licenses Event Calendar, it is not exactly cheap for a response of this type. This forum sounds good but is not a “technical support” as such, I do not if you are a member of the Community or if you are a person of technical service the Event Calendar.
When you buy this product they promised in a Technical Support… I do not understand anything… Do not understand why something as simple as a “shortcode” or “custom template” does not exist in a payment product for wordpress. In this forum there are a lot of people claiming this functionality and nothing is done?March 17, 2014 at 12:41 pm #119924Rob
MemberHey vserrano. Thanks for the note here, and for your willingness to contribute feedback that can help us grow as a team. Casey got the sense after reading your last post that you were distraught, and I wanted to step in to see if I could both help get you sorted and to reset expectations as to what we can and cannot do.
Unless I’m misunderstanding here, the ability to enable/disable “page transitions” is not a built-in WordPress function nor something generated by our plugin; rather, it’s specific to the theme you’re attempting to integrate with (please correct me if I’m wrong there). Knowing this I’m not sure how the argument could be made that this problem stems from our plugin – it sounds like there is simply a feature in that theme which the plugin does not account for. While I wish I could say that the plugin seamlessly integrates with every theme out there, the reality is that custom themes have so many settings/options that it would be nearly impossible for us to account for all of those.
As for the lack of a shortcode: this is indeed a request that we’ve heard a lot since launching the 3.0 release, and we’re currently soliciting ideas for use cases – ie, why people need a shortcode to accomplish what existing template tags cannot – over at our UserVoice page (http://tribe.uservoice.com/forums/195723-feature-ideas/suggestions/3926703-shortcode-ability-for-simple-implimentation-on-any). That said we try to be pretty upfront about the fact that the plugin does not ship with a shortcode, and we encourage users to review the product pages/check what the plugin can and cannot do before purchasing a license. If there is something online that misleading says a shortcode ships with the PRO version please let me know so I can get that corrected.
As for custom templates, these can certainly be created. Have you attempted the template override procedure as documented at https://theeventscalendar.com/support/documentation/events-calendar-themers-guide/ ?
I hope this helps provide some guidance to point you in the right direction. If I’ve misunderstood any of your statements here, please do let me know. Yours is the type of feedback we appreciate since it helps us identify where our users are struggling – this type of constructive criticism is always welcome, so long as it is indeed constructive 🙂 I welcome your thoughts on this and whether you have further questions as to how much we can and cannot help integrations with third party products.

ParticipantHi Rob, I did not express well in English, I do it with great effort and with the help of google translate.
I swallowed all your video tutorials, but had not seen the link you point me where I think is the solution to my problem.
However I think that the shortcodes are important. They are important for people who are not programmers and do not want to complicate your life and do things in an easier way.
A few days ago I saw a plugin http://wordpress.org/plugins/event-rocket/ that trying to resolve the issue of shortcodes in Event Calendar, but it does not work well, at least my experience.
Thank you very much for your answer, more convincing than the first.March 18, 2014 at 7:21 am #120542Casey
