ParticipantHello,
I’ve posted on their support forum, and wanted to run this by you as well. We had Events Calendar disabled, as we could not add records. I went to troubleshoot, and enabled Events Calendar (and Pro), and added a record.
When adding a new download, the data is not being saved. This is what I’m pulling from the error logs.
Is Download Manager triggering your code? Is there a hook conflict or something?

ParticipantHey Roberta,
Thanks for reaching out to us!
I just tested with the WordPress Download Manager plugin and was able to recreate the issue where uploaded files are not saving as attached to downloads when creating new downloads while The Events Calendar plugin is active.
To be honest, I’m not sure this is something that we would be able to address within our plugin. The download and and associated meta should be contained completely within post type created for the download manager plugin and shouldn’t directly interact with the Events Calendar events when saving.
Let us know what you hear back from the other forum. If there is something we’re doing that goes against WordPress best practices that is somehow causing the issue, we’re definitely more than willing to look into a solution.
Thanks!

ParticipantHello,
We are experiencing the same problem. We cannot roll back WPDM Pro due to security, can we roll back Events Cal and Events Cal Pro safely and what process should we use to do so if possible?
Cheers

ParticipantI should note, this issue appeared after update to 3.9, but was not present on previous version.

ParticipantThe author of Download Manager/Pro says he can’t help, because the problem is within your plugin.
When you tested, were you able to see anything that would point to a cause?
We really need help with this. It’s tough being stuck between two developers, each saying it’s the other plugin’s problem.

ParticipantHey Roberta,
I understand the frustration that comes from being in that position. I did test again to see what type of errors I got and the only that got output was a notice regarding the “attach-file.php” file from the Download Manager plugin (https://cloudup.com/cz1513fxxlh).
As an alternative, I also tested with the Download Monitor plugin and it appears to be working great with our plugins activated.
Let me know if this helps.
Thanks!

ParticipantAny luck Roberta on getting it to work? Or are you still stuck like me with 2 plugins not working properly with eachother?

ParticipantHey!
We’ve reached out to the developers of the Download Manager plugin in attempts to work through the incompatibility. We’re currently waiting on their response and we’ll notify you here when we hear back and get a game plan together to work through this issue.
I’ll go ahead and close this ticket for now. If you have any further questions, please don’t hesitate to open a new one.
Thanks!
