Compatability of of Event Calendar with Woo Canvas Theme

I’ve seen posts claiming that Events Calendar and Event Calendar Pro doesn’t work well with the Woo Canvas theme. Is that true??

Hi Stephen! Thanks for the note here, and for your patience in waiting as we work through the queue to get you a reply. We do have a number of users running our plugin who are also using WooThemes’ Canvas — in fact we’ve been working with Woo on a handful of plugin/theme conflicts recently and have taken a few steps with them to specifically/officially integrate the two codebases. It looks like specifically in our 3.1 release we added code to better integrate the two.

That said, I have seen reports of users facing conflicts since then. While it looks like in most cases they were able to work through their issues with our support staff, I will caution that it does seem our plugin won’t integrate 100% “out of the box” with Canvas at this time.

Personally I’ve had it working with Canvas, although I haven’t been able to get the sidebar in Canvas to work with it. It’ll take a bit of extra work to style it but overall I’m still very happy with Event Calendar Pro.

I’m ready to purchase WooTickets and Events Calendar Pro and was also going to go with the Canvas theme but I’m hesitant seeing some forum posts citing issues, one being the inability to use a static home page (which I want to do). Most of the issues were brought up in posts nearly a year (and several software versions) ago though. So I’m wondering where things stand now with Canvas? Another theme I’d considered was the Avada theme on ThemeForest but it’s kinda overkill for my needs. Would just really appreciate a recommendation on three or four themes that would be fairly trouble free using your ECP with WooTickets. Thanks.
