Community Events – What version of The Events Calendar do I need

I want to give registered users the ability to add events to our website via the front end but for the moment at least I don’t require the additional functionality that The Events Calendar Pro add. Do I need to have Pro installed to run the Community version or will it function fine on the free version as long as I buy the Community module?

Thanks for reaching out!

You do NOT need Events Calendar Pro – the “free” version is actually best thought of as the “core” version, and is required for any premium add-on.

But once you have the core version installed, The Events Calendar, yes you can simply add Community Events with no other premium add-ons and it will work 100% effectively 🙂
