Robert
ParticipantWe’re using the community events calendar, and it seems like it’s working fine except some code is being inserted into the sidebar and footer (as shown here):
– https://dl.dropbox.com/u/27883900/Error2.PNGWhen you “inspect element” in Chrome, it shows that the block of code showing up in the sidebar is missing a tag, and so just shows up as text, but I couldn’t find this when looking through the plugin files.
Thanks for your help.

ParticipantRobert,
Have you tried deactivating all plugins, and changing to the default 2012 theme? I’ve never seen this issue before, so I’m just trying to determine if there’s a conflict with your theme or plugins before we further troubleshoot.Give that a try, and let me know what the result is. Thanks.

ParticipantHi Casey, I deactivated all our plugins (except “The Events Calendar” since Community Events won’t work without it) and tested the Community Events page. There was no change in our issue with it. As far as the theme, we’re using a custom one and aren’t really sure how to safely change to a different theme & then change back to ours (I’m a little new to WordPress).
Thanks for your help.February 14, 2013 at 11:30 am #32661Casey
ParticipantRobert,
You should be able to go to ‘Appearance->Themes’ and switch your theme there. You can then switch back to your custom theme after testing the page display on the default theme. Let me know if that helps.February 14, 2013 at 11:48 am #32662Robert
ParticipantThanks. I changed the theme to Twenty Twelve and tested the community events page, which appeared to render normally for that theme. Our theme is a version of Modernizm by ColorLabs, which includes a sidebar and footer (not sure if those are present the same way in the Twenty Twelve theme).

ParticipantRobert,
Thanks for the info. I would definitely recommend reaching out to the developer of your theme. Unfortunately, we cannot provide support for custom themes, but we’ll be happy to work with the developer of your theme if they identify any issues with any of our plugins. You can read more about our theme support policy here: https://theeventscalendar.com/support/forums/topic/read-this-an-important-note-on-plugintheme-deactivation/
Please let me know if there’s anything else that I can help out with. Thanks!

ParticipantAlways happy to help Robert. I’ll close this thread out, but feel free to start a new thread if you have other issues. Thanks for using the plugin!
