Here’s the latest issue:
I have the community events plugin and require a WordPress account to post an event. When you create/register a new account you have to go through an email verification process – once they verify the account, they get an auto email with a username, password and login URL (http://mywebsite.com/wp-login.php.) They are getting this blank page even after they click on the link from their email after activation to log in with their username and password. I am guessing this is an issue because we have a multisite? Can I change the login URL provided in that email, and how do I figure out what that is?August 14, 2014 at 12:22 pm #667844kellymarie2001ParticipantOn top of that, there’s no way for users to edit their submissions – no button, no my events page (page not found, neither is this http://labeerweek.com/2014/events/community/list). The wp-login.php page I mention above redirects to http://labeerweek.com/wp-admin/user/ which is blank.

I still you are running into some frustration with this so let me see if I can get you going in the right direction.
I have some questions for you to narrow this down and some tasks to do to see if that helps.
For the email link:
What is the link that is sending new users to a blank page? What is the link suppose to be?
I believe this plugin helps with editing the Welcome Email and you might be able to change the link there:
For the 404 Errors
Can you please resave the permalinks in the WordPress settings and see if that enable fixes page not found error.
I am unable to see the community forms because I am not a user, but are you testing them by using an account with the same role a visitor would have and not your member role?
And are you blocking the Community Events Pages for users only with any other method? Or you just have it unchecked in the Community Events Settings to not allow anonymous submissions?
Please get back to me on these questions and try that plugin to edit the Welcome Email and we can go from there to get this fixed.
Thanks!

Permalinks resaved, http://labeerweek.com/2014/events/community/list still shows as nonexistent.
I guess I don’t really even understand how to direct my users to edit their events… is there a button I’m supposed to add? What’s the URL?
I did a test account to see if I could log in and access my profile or even just the admin bar to edit my events – but nothing. The site just looks normal, the only difference being it doesn’t prompt me to log in to submit an event.
“And are you blocking the Community Events Pages for users only with any other method? Or you just have it unchecked in the Community Events Settings to not allow anonymous submissions?”
Under the plugin settings under Community, the box next to “Allow anonymous submissions” is not checked. Members are allowed to edit and remove their submissions.
Under Access Control, the box next to “Block access to WordPress dashboard” is not checked and no roles are blocked.“And are you blocking the Community Events Pages for users only with any other method?” I don’t think so – I’m not sure how I would do this.
I tried the plugin you recommended, I even edited my network settings with different login information but even with the Welcome email I still got a notification from WordPress with the http://labeerweek.com/wp-login.php link that allows me to log in, but then gives me a blank page. If you know how I can change the email notification that also comes from WordPress, that would be really helpful for at lease this part of things! (It’s the email with the subject line “Your username and password” from WordPress and our email address that is actually old).
August 15, 2014 at 7:15 am #673702BrianKeymasterLet me go over the two issues you are having the login redirect and the 404 errors and see if I can get you in the right direction.
404 Errors
There are two links for Community EventsOn your site the link your provided gives a 404 error, but if I got to:
labeerweek.com/2014/events/events/add
or
labeerweek.com/2014/events/events/list
So it looks like the default slug of community was changed to events.
Do you see the forums to view events and add events as an admin using those links?
Are you able to login there using your test registered user account?
Login Redirect
For the login redirect something is trying to redirect the user to the Admin, but it being blocked and showing a blank page.Since you said you have not checked to block the admin from the Community Events Tab there could be an issue with another plugin, your theme, or a coding snippet.
To see where the issue is please follow out Testing For Conflicts and let me know what you find out. (which you may have done with the other problems you have been having)

As for customizing the the Welcome email that is beyond the support we can provide here, but these two threads can get you in the right direction:

August 18, 2014 at 1:09 pm #681719kellymarie2001ParticipantThank you! labeerweek.com/2014/events/events/list is where we’re sending everyone to edit their listings.
At this point, since the site is live and selling tickets, I don’t have the luxury to test for conflicts, but I am trying to get a workaround for now (will have to figure out why it’s redirecting at a later time). I think as long as I can customize that welcome email, I’ll be good! I was able to get a plugin installed for the welcome email, but the email from WordPress I’m still trying to figure out. Will be working on that today/tomorrow and will keep you posted!September 10, 2014 at 11:12 am #735922BrianKeymasterSince I haven’t heard back from you here, I’m going to go ahead and close out this thread. Feel free to start a new thread if you have further issues. Thanks! 🙂
