Is there a custom field feature for the community events submission form? Two simple fields seem to be lacking:
1) Submitter’s contact info (verify an email address of submitter to…
a) get more info on an event and
b) prevent spam) and
2) A comment field for backend view only (not to appear on the form).
Working example: We post speaking engagements on our calendar. If organizations want a speaker, they submit a date, location, and topic. We match up a speaker for their request and post it to the calendar. However, currently we don’t see a way to require the submitter’s email to get more info or to change the date/time of the event. We also don’t see a place for them to specify the topic or audience. True, the description field could work, but its not required, nor can we prefill that field with “info text” to give them instruction.
I didn’t want to post this as a new feature if this is already possible.
