GuestHi tribe team
I have a few questions about the Community Events plugin. I’d like that my users can submit events, which are not intended to be published, but kept as drafts for their personal use.
1. According to the documentation, every logged in user can only see his own events as long as they are in state “draft” or “pending review”. Now my question is, can the user see his events also on the front end, like for example in the month grid view? Even if they are not published? Or are there any other constraints for not published events?
If the events are shown, my next question is:
2. Can a user edit/delete his own events without the “My Events” view? For example he clicks on an event in the month grid view and sees the event details page. Can he edit/delete the event, if it is an event he has created? Or is this just in the “My Events” view possible?Do you see any other issues I could get when using the plugin that way? Especially performance issues, if a lot of different users have “personal” draft events in the same month? The amount of published events will just be average.
Thank you very much for your answers!

ParticipantHi Michael,
I can see why that would be an appealing feature, but alas, while people could keep drafts of events for their personal use, they would have to be published to appear on the front end. So that kind of takes care of your other questions too I believe.
Sorry that our plugin doesn’t meet your needs, but if you have any other questions, I’d be happy to answer them.

GuestHi Julie
Thank you for your answer! That’s no problem. I’m quite sure I’ll go anyway with your plugin. I’m ready to dig deeper in the code and there is no better solution 🙂

ParticipantHi Michael,
I’m glad you’re a fan of The Events Calendar! If you’re digging deeper into the code, let me point you to our Themer’s Guide (https://theeventscalendar.com/support/documentation/events-calendar-themers-guide/) and our documentation pages (http://docs.tri.be/) if you haven’t found them already.
If you have any further questions where we can point you in the right direction, please feel free to ask over in the Events Calendar PRO forum. Happy coding!
