Hi. I am creating a user dashboard that uses ECP and Community Events. I have a nice dashboard set up where the user can view their calendar on one half of the page and the related list of upcoming events appears on the other half. The idea is to feed the user everything they need on a front end web page versus having them log into the admin area.

I have a button that says “Add New Event” right above the calendar, and I want to display the community event add page in a popup, not direct the user to another add event page. I know that shortcodes are sparse for your plugins, but wanted to ask if there is a way for me to display only the front facing add event form via a shortcode, or if maybe you have another suggestion?

    thanks!

    Hi,

Thanks for using our plugins. I can try to get you going in the right direction on this.

We do not have a feature to open the Community Events Form in a popup. However, you maybe to use a script like Colorbox to open that page in an iframe in a popup.

That would be where I would start if I was doing a project like this.

The other way could be to create your own shortcode for the Community Events form, but that is a much more involved process and not much support we can provide on that.

Let me know if you have any follow up questions.

    Thanks

What I really need help with is how would I display only the form in a popup
    instead of the entire page?

Unfortunately, there is no feature to embed it in another page. It is possible to detect if a page is in an iframe and you could add a script to that page so when it open it hides all the content around the form.

Beyond that it would involve a customization and that is beyond the support we can provide.

    Thanks

How would I achieve the iframe you last suggested?

You could integrate a script Like Colorbox into your site.

There is a plugin that will do it for you here:

    WP Colorbox

Then you could use one of the shortcodes to display an iframe in a popup of the Community Events Add Form.

That is about all we can help on a customization, but if you have any questions I can try to answer them.

    Thanks
