Community calendar options

Hello. I own several local community magazines (traditional print) and we have wordpress websites for them. Currently our community calendar is nothing more than a WP page where one of my staff manually types in upcoming events in a very basic fashion. People who want their event listed email her and she puts them up…very tedious and old school.

I am looking for a solution that:

– Allows a user to post their own events (with moderator approval)
– Allows those events to be displayed on both desktop and mobile in a very appealing way
– Allows my staff to download a list of events that have been submitted in a standard format (text, word, excel, something)
– Doesn’t break 🙂

We don’t need ticketing, etc…just a good community calendar. Can you help?
