community add not visible

Hi the calendar is appearing fine, and I can add events as admin.
Issue is, despite add best efforts the /events/community/add page refuses to show.

Perhaps I should add that ‘Your Events’ seems fine, and by adding an additional page the ‘Please login first’ message appears, but not the sign up facility.

It sounds to me like this is a user role setting that needs to be fixed.
