Combining Events and Blog posts so that events appear on the blog page.

Hi guys,
I am looking for a way to merge and display both events and blog posts, so that events and blog posts can both appear on the same blog page.

This is because we want our page to be called “News and Events” so mixing these two, while keeping the data seperate would be really handy, and wondering if this plugin has that feature ? if there are technical information on how to do this in a template, I can do this too.

If you have not purchased one of our premium plugins, you can post in our community forum on wordpress.org, which we review weekly to check for bug reports. If you need more in-depth support, you will need to purchase a license.

Our knowledgebase is a great place to start looking for answers. You can also search our premium forums to see if another user has posted about a similar issue. As a starting point, you might want to try the “Include events in main blog loop” setting under Events > Settings > General.

but this is a pre-sales questions.
I was asking does the plugin already have this feature inbuilt into it ?
I am looking for a plugin that combines both events and posts together, please let me know.

Hey Joe,

Sorry for the confusion here. While we cannot help with custom coding or templating, there is an option within The Events Calendar called “Include events in main blog loop”. When this option is checked, events will show up in the main blog loop of “posts” on your site.

Keep in mind that The Events Calendar is totally free! So definitely download it and spend a few minutes tinkering with it, especially with this option in mind, and see if it will suit your needs well.
