Combine Attendee Information with Personal Info?

We need to collect attendee’s full contact info during registration, including name and email. I’m including those fields with the Additional Fields when creating tickets in order to create a “complete” registration. But then the attendee is required to also complete name and email again during checkout (the Personal Info that the plugin automatically captures). Is there a way to have the Additional Fields not show up on the Ticket page and instead be on the Purchase page, or maybe can the plugin copy the name and email from the Additional Fields so the attendee does not have to enter this information twice?

Thanks for coming back to us! Let me try and help you out.

The additional attendee information is meant to be for each ticket. So, when paying for those tickets with WooCommerce (or any other plugin you may be using), it could be the case of someone else buying them and thus providing different information in the purchase page.

Nevertheless, I think it might be possible to accomplish either one or the other option you are suggesting, but you would have to make a not so simple customization and it may involve customizing the ecommerce plugin of your choice as well.

We are limited in the amount of support we can give for customizations. But we do like helping out and pointing users in the right direction. So, if you have any further questions feel free to ask them and we’ll be happy to help as much as we can.

Thanks Victor, that makes sense. But I’d like to make it more clear that the second screen is for the “Purchaser” of the ticket and not necessarily the “Attendee”. I would like to change the fieldset title from “Personal Info” to “Purchaser Information”. Can you tell me where I can change that? I am willing to make a modified template, but I don’t know which file contains that screen.

Hi Ron!

I’m mostly sure this can be done by customizing the template that shows the “Personal Info” title, but this would have to be modified in the template from the e-commerce plugin you are using.

Could you please let me know which plugin are you using to process the purchases? Also, could you send a screenshot of the page where you want to change de title?

With that information I will be able to guide you on how to achieve that.
