Is it possible to have a combination of views on the front page? Ideally I would like to have the calendar view as the default but then with events listed underneath. Is this something I can do?
Likewise, is it possible to change the default view depending on whether people are looking at the front page or the search results?

Thank you for reaching out to us.
I would love to help you with this topic. The short answer is yes. You can do exactly that.
This is possible because of our 2 types of shortcodes that come with the Events Calendar Pro:
- https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/pro-widget-shortcodes/
You cannot have more than one full view shortcode per page, so you will have to use 1 full view and 1 widget shortcodes.
You can even “cheat” by using the following third-party plugin which will let you shortcode the list view: https://wordpress.org/plugins/the-events-calendar-shortcode/
Let me know if that helps.
Have a great day!

March 2, 2017 at 9:03 pm #1248760Geoff B.MemberGood evening Louise,
Thank you for writing back.
The shortcodes can be simply pasted in any regular text area (alongside other text and content).
They will also work in most text widgets. In your case, it probably means simply pasting them in your home page “Edit page” screen.
But this depends on your settings under Settings > Reading in wp-admin.
If you are using the default “Blog” page, you might have to edit the page template in your theme to include the shortcode.
Let me know if that helps.
Have a great day!
