ParticipantHi Guys – I can see that the new release allows purchasers to add their own attendee information. I can also see a post saying that there is no way to edit the attendee information (or add it later).
Perhaps unusually, we are selling training courses and we don’t want to ask the client to enter all of his attendee data at the time of purchase, we would prefer to be able to go back in and add that information ourselves.
Can you recommend a workaround (the fields now seem to be there?) whereby we could actively edit the attendee list after the event?
You mentioned that this may be coming in the next release – you have a timescale?

MemberHey Colin, great questions!
It’s actually possible to edit the attendee information after the purchase — although it requires that the attendee change that information. For example, an attendee can log back into the site, visit the event page and clock on the “View your tickets” link (screenshot) and will take the attendee to a page where they can update their registration information. It’s also possible for that attendee to complete any information that was previously left out and save it.
Does this sound like it will do what you’re looking for? Please let me know.
Cheers!

ParticipantHi Geoff – thanks for the reply.. my client is trying to make purchases as easy as possible for their clients booking Training courses on the site.. so their aim is that the client should be able to make the booking (for say 10 places), without having to fill in the names of each delegate attending (as indeed that may not be known at the time of booking).
So, we would be happy to go back in to the system, after the initial booking has taken place (as a back office function) – and edit/add amend delegate names .. this doesn’t seem possible with the solution you suggested?
unless… the site owner can access users’ accounts and enter details accordingly… think they and their clients would be happy with that approach if possible? .. Any thoughts advice would be much appreciated
thx 🙂

MemberHey Colin,
Yeah, I’m afraid that it’s not yet possible for an admin to go in and edit the attendee’s information directly. At the moment, only the attendees themselves can go in and edit their own information.
I thought it might be possible to create a new order in WooCommerce directly and edit the information in there, but that’s not a possibility either.
So sorry I don’t have a workaround for this! I do see an open request for this in our feature request forum and I’d encourage you to add your vote. It looks like a good handful of other would like to see this as well, so adding your vote will be a huge help.
Thanks,

KeymasterHey there! This thread has been pretty quiet for the last three weeks, so we’re going to go ahead and close it to avoid confusion with other topics. If you’re still looking for help with this, please do open a new thread, reference this one and we’d be more than happy to continue the conversation over there.
Thanks so much!
