Clone / Copy / Duplicate Recurring Events

Hello,
I would like to be able to clone/copy/duplicate recurring events so that we don’ have to start from scratch filling in similar/identical details every time.

I have explored:
– https://wordpress.org/plugins/duplicate-tec-event/ (No longer updated)
– http://consciousimages.com/duplicating-events-in-the-events-calendar/

Both of these clone/copy/duplicate a single event in a series of recurring events – not what I want.

I want to clone/copy/duplicate ALL the recurring events… for example we have an 8 week class Level 1 (one event that recurs 8 times) and I would like to be able to clone/copy/duplicate this and make small tweaks to make it a Level 2 class.

I did try cloning a single event, then going in an tweaking the content and changing the repeat date to th new class, but when I saved it, it overwrote my previous class, essentially deleting it. (sigh)

This is essentially not possible at the moment:

Using a third-party plugin is what I would’ve recommended, however you’ve already reported some lack of success with doing that. 🙁

@George – Please bump this feature up the request pipeline. We’re using Event Calendar Pro for a school calendar, and we’re essentially building out the entire calendar for the year in one push. We have many events that happen on multiple occasions, but not on any discernible “repeating” schedule. So we have to build each new occurrence from scratch.

Thanks for your input here – I’m sorry that our features haven’t quite met your needs, but I’m curious about what you mentioned here:

It sounds like PRO’s new “free-form recurrence” abilities – new as of version 3.12, anyways – might work well for this sort of event. Have you played around with the new recurrence features at all? Do they help, or is it still too limiting?
