Clone and Event?

    On the “My Events” page under each event there are three links: View | Edit | Delete

    Is there a way to add “Duplicate” so it could basically add a new copy of an existing event and they can change the date, say to make it another upcoming event?

    Hi MD,

    Thanks for your question.  The Events Calendar does not have this ability built it, but after some quick googling, I found several WordPress plugins that do.

    I have not tested this plugin personally, but here is a link to one that should do the trick:

    Post Duplicator

    Essentially the plugin needs to be able to copy custom post types.

    Thanks, but I don’t think that would help. I use a page/post duplicator plugin on some sites but for this it would have to work within the Community Events “My Events” page without going to the WP admin. If it was just the site admin doing it, it would be fine, but I need the users to be able to do it.

    Unless you have a plan to incorporate it that I’m not seeing….

    Thanks for following up and for the feedback! This is something I’m afraid is not baked into Community Events, but it would be great if you could share it with us in our feature request forum. It would be interesting to see how many others would like to see that feature as well.

    Thanks. There already is a Feature Request for this (https://tribe.uservoice.com/forums/195723-feature-ideas/suggestions/3874714-duplicate-events) so others have already asked. I voted and commented. I might look into whether there’s a way to integrate a post duplication plugin so it worked with the Community Events front-end but I have a feeling it’s a big undertaking.
