    Hi

Is it possible to charge people for posting events to our wordpress site using Community events?
ie they want to advertise an event they are hosting – we charge them to list it on our website.

Ideally there would be a free basic, short listing option, with the option to pay to upgrade if they wanted more words or an image, for example.

This is not about selling tickets to an event, it is about charging for event listings on our site.

    Thanks for your help.

    Hi Beccy,

Great question! Charging for event submissions in Community Events is definitely something we’re interested in doing but it hasn’t been developed, I’m afraid.

One thing you might consider trying is adding a paywall between the visitor and the submission form. I think using something like Restrict Content Pro might be a good way to accomplish that. I haven’t tried it personally, but I’ve heard others having success with it and it definitely looks like a good option to consider based on what I’ve read on it.

Does this help answer your question? Please let me know.

    Cheers!
    Geoff
