Changing the "No results found for …" Message

I’ve tried changing the message text, referring to many other answers placed on the forum, but nothing has worked yet. In each, I’ve edited the child theme’s functions.php file. Can you help? I specifically need to change: “NO RESULTS WERE FOUND FOR EVENTS IN OR NEAR…”

The simplest solution is to adapt and use the snippet found at the bottom of this page: https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/change-the-wording-of-any-bit-of-text-or-string/

More specifically, the original string should be “No results were found for %1$s in or near %2$s.”

Let me know how that goes.
