Changing the "event" top-level slug/title

Hi.

On our site, we have three separate categories of event. Events, classes and exhibitions.

Right now, the breadcrumb for an event shows as follows:

Home / Events / Events / Swing Dance Classes

We’d like to change the top-level slug and title to “Calendar”, so the event would appear as follows:

Home / Calendar / Events / Swing Dance Classes

I’ve changed the slug, but the title still shows as events.

Help?

OOPS…

Just noticed that we can’t use “Calendar” for obvious reasons…

Can we use “Schedule”?

Thank you for reaching out to us.
I would love to help you with this topic.

You can change the slug anything you want under Events -> Settings -> General.
The only rule is that you need complete exclusivity over that slug.

In other words, you can’t have a “real page” that uses the same slug.

With that in mind, you can also change the word Events to anything you like.

Thanks so much for the help. The word replace wouldn’t work in this case, because I’d still want to use events – just not in two places. No worries – I shut breadcrumbs off for the site.
