Changing field names

Hello I am using your script on my site ChicagoModelCall.com , I am using it to list casting calls for models and actors in the Chicago area.

1.On the submit events page is it possible to change the name of event categories , event time , event location to Casting location ete and the page name to Submit A Job instead of event. http://chicagomodelcall.com/jobs/community/add

2. Is it possible to disable the event cost field. Since most casting don’t cost.

Hi jrucker,

To make the changes you want should be fairly straightforward if you’re up to digging into the code. You can check out our tutorial here for some details: https://tri.be/relabeling-the-venueorganizer-sections-in-single-event-view/

Removing the cost field might also be able to be done through making some changes in the code, but you could also just set it to “free” as well.

hello thanks for your help. I see a function file in my themes folder but I do not know where I would begin to edit the file. And I don’t receive any email notices when you make updates to my post. Can I email you my function file , I did not want to post all of the code in the forum. thanks

Hello jrucker,

To get email updates, just check the box just about the Post Comment button the next time you leave a comment and they should be delivered right to you.

If you’re not comfortable digging around the in the functions.php file, you might want to contact a developer to assist you. You could ask at places like http://jobs.wordpress.net/ or http://www.microlancer.com/

If I’ve misunderstood, please let me know and I’ll do what I can to point you in the right direction.

Hi there, I’d like to tack on to the same thread. Is it possible to change “Events” throughout the plugin to say “Jobs” on the front-end, without changing every single instance? The translate method looks slick, but it was throwing errors for me.
