I updated the plugin and pro version of the plugin to fix the issue of events not showing in the month view and now the changes I had made to the default-template.php and had it in my theme’s folder in a folder called tribe-events are now not showing. I also tried making changes to the default-template.php in the plugin folder in src/views and those changes are not showing either. Other than updating the events calendar plugins and wordpress, I have not made any other changes. I can’t revert to an older version of the plugin because then the events don’t show.

As a side note, when looking at my FTP I don’t see the pro version folder in the Plugins folder. If I deactivate and delete the pro version in wordpress and upload the folder manually to the FTP I see it in FTP but then not in the wordpress admin in the plugins area. I am not sure how this relates, if at all. Either way, my changes to the default template were working for months prior to just updating the plugins.

Do I have to update my host server php or something? Or some other change that I have to make with the new plugin version?

    Hi Tim!

I’m sorry you are experiencing that issue. Let me help you with the troubleshooting.

I tried making a template override of the default-template.php file and it works for me, so there might be some conflict with your site.

It seems strange that the changes you make via FTP are not taking effect in your site. I do notice that your shared your system information for a site at a different url than the one you have your active license in. Could you please verify that you are making the template override inside your active theme for the site you intend to?

If you still experience the issue, please share with us (in a private reply) the system information for the site you currently have the issue in.

Let us know how it goes.

    Thanks,
    Victor

Thanks. I will try more over the weekend and next weekend and update this if needed with my login info. I just wish I knew why it stopped working after the update. It had been working for a couple months prior. And the license is for this website. The client paid me to purchase the license specifically for this website. It is currently on my test server. I’ll post the link in a private reply if that helps. I am using this in a folder of that main directory and when I get the kinks worked out on the test website I will be moving the website and the license to that live website.

I was able to solve the issue with the hosting and caching on the server causing issues. Thanks for the help.
