http://screencast.com/t/gp0kV5lhQ – is a link to the screencast of the question I have (easier to explain) – I know something in the css, any suggestions (btw, it’s really HARD searching your forum – I liked the old one, the search on this one is not nearly as functional. sweet. 🙂

Hey Nikolasa! Thanks for the succinct explanation there. Have you first tried going to Settings -> The Events Calendar and changing to a different templating option from the dropdown there? It’s possible one of those will resolve this issue without having to modify the code. In the instance there in your video, it looks more like a template issue than the default calendar width. Let me know on that and I can bring a dev in to take a look as needed.

On the search, we’ll definitely be adding some tweaks to that very soon – they’re still being tested on the dev site but will be deployed here as soon as they pass QA 🙂

I have I tried all three actually. it will be a template issue no doubt, I’ve used your lovely plugins from quite some time ago (1.3 omg!) and I’ve always had this issue in terms of width – dozens of themes (all from theme forest – I know that this is my issue an not yours 😉 – but just a quick tutorial (video :X) would be the bomb!!

we had some work arounds in the old forum but it’d be good to have them revisited here 🙂
love the rebranding btw!! and can you believe what happened to jotforms.com OMG! anyway take it easy Rob!

Hey Nikolasa. Got it! Since you’ve been such a loyal/vocal customer since the 1.x days, let me see if Jonah has any suggestions here when he hits the forum next. No guarantees but it’s worth a look 🙂

Thanks again for making the jump to 2.0. Let us know what else we can do.

    Hey Nikolasa,

It looks like your theme wrappers are just not being included for the plugin. Two options:

    1. Override the ecp-page-template.php (and I think you’ll want to do the same for ecp-single-template.php) by making a duplicate copy of the files found in /wp-content/plugins/the-events-calendar/views. And add your theme specific wrappers (for example: ). This will get it so you won’t need to muck with the CSS too much because those theme specific wrappers already have the necessary CSS.

    2. You can also do something similar but via the Settings > The Events Calendar page by adding these wrappers into the “Add HTML before calendar” and “Add HTML after calendar” fields.

Either way, you need those wrappers there to contain everything. Hopefully this get’s you going in the right direction but let me know if you run into any other issues.

    Cheers,
    – Jonah
