Change view for Upcoming Events on Venue and Organizer Pages

Hi. I would like to change the view of the Upcoming Events on the Venue and Organizer pages from a list to a calendar with Photo View. Is that possible?

Hi Christophe

That would be a nice feature. Unfortunately, it isn’t something we currently support. All venue and organizers appear as a list, even if the /events page has a different layout. See our example demo site: https://wpshindig.com/venue/bar-del-hotel-pulitzer.

If you think that is something you would like as a feature I encourage you to visit our User Voice Page and either upvote an existing request or make a new request there.

Thanks for the quick response, Courtney. Is this something that can be achieved by changing the code for the single-organizer.php page? For example, if I removed the echo tribe_organizer_upcoming_events is there code that would allow me to put a Photo View Calendar in its place? It seems like this should be possible, but my attempts at copying the code that looks like it creates the calendar have not been successful. Or even if we could get the Photo View listings without the calendar, that would work, too.

That is an interesting idea. I’m not sure how much the code there can be customized.

We’re limited in helping with styling customizations, per our Scope of Support / Terms. You can take a peek at our Themer’s Guide for suggestions on how to start with any customization to our plugins.

I can add this thread to our customizations request. Doing so will unassign it from me, and we have no promises on how soon we can return to assist further. Customizations like this that go beyond our normal terms of service are ideal for the times when we have a low volume of help desk threads.
