ParticipantI am migrating from using [event_rocket_list] to [tribe_events_list] for all calendar shortcode listings on our website.
The “View More…” link that appears immediately after the events listed in the [tribe_events_list] shortcode links to the main calendar page, even if a category is specified within the shortcode.
For example, the “View More…” button in [tribe_events_list category=”adultlearners” limit=”20″] would link me to http://mydomain.com/events/.
I would like that shortcode mentioned above to link to http://mydomain.com/events/category/adultlearners. That’s the way the [event_rocket_list] functioned.
If it’s not possible to specify the URL that this button links to, I’d at least like to prevent it from being displayed so that I can manually add my own link to my desired URL immediately below the shortcode.
Thank you!

MemberHi,
Thanks for using our plugins.
I can help out here.
There is method in the shortcode to change the all events link.
However, you can follow our themer’s guide:
https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/themers-guide/
To move and edit this file in your theme:
events-calendar-pro\src\views\pro\widgets\list-widget.php
There you can add a custom link or remove it yourself if you like.
Let me know if you have any follow up questions.
Thanks

ParticipantThanks for the tip. I had a look at the file list-widget.php and it appears that it’s supposed to be doing what I want it to do, which is link to a particular event category archive page if only one category is specified in the shortcode.
This is documented in the comment starting on line 46 in list-widget.php and the code immediately below.
However this is failing to work for me. When I enter the shortcode [tribe_events_list category=”adultlearners” limit=”20″] the “view all events” link is sends me to http://mydomain.com/events/ instead of http://mydomain.com/events/category/adultlearners.
I’ve tried deactivating all other plugins in search of a conflict and found none. I also tried reverting back to the TwentyTwelve theme in the event of a theme conflict but the problem persists.
Is this a bug? Or is this a problem with my installation only?

MemberHi,
Thanks for the information.
I tested on my site and was able to reproduce the issue.
It appears the shortcode does not take into account the single category for the View More Link. However, the widget itself does.
I have created a bug ticket to address this, but I do not have anymore information then that right now.
This thread has been added to our ticket and will be updated once we have more information.
Let me know if you have any follow up questions.
Thanks

ParticipantThanks for bringing this to the attention of your developers Brian.
If getting a fix committed into an updated version is a long way out, is there any way you’d be able to post the code for a manual fix we can implement for the immediate time being using an overriding template file?
Please continue to keep us updated on how this issue is being resolved.

MemberHi kshien,
We will update this ticket once we have a release ready.
We are finishing up testing on the next release of the plugins so not sure if this will make it in.
I do not have coding to providing to fix for this and not sure when it will be released. We maybe to provide coding to fix it once we do have it resolved.
Since there is nothing more we can do on this right now I am going to close this ticket.
It does not mean the issue is closed or resolved, but there is nothing more we can do right now and again we will update this once we have more information.
Thanks
