Change text for Previous/Next button

Hello. I am needing to customize the Previous Event and Next Event text. I have made other customizations with no problem and have followed the same steps in customizing this text.

I have a folder path setup in my child theme /tribe-events/single-event.php and I have made the edits by replacing the %title% text in the links at the bottom of the file. I have cleared my cache but the changes are not taking hold.

Any help would be appreciated.

Hi Leslie,

I’m sorry you haven’t been able to change the links…I took a look at your site, and it looks like you may have gotten the links updated on the single event page (see screenshot). It sounds like you are customizing the correct code in the single-event.php template:

• « %title%' ) ?>
• »' ) ?>

If not, can you please send me a copy of your single-event.php file (preferably as a gist)? I’ll be happy to take a look and see what I can recommend.

Yes, great. Thank YOu. I was needing to edit the nav on the Calendar List as well – but found if I edit /list/nav.php it got me what I needed.
