I would love to see a simple interface for changing some of the terminology.

This plugin has uses beyond strictly events (ex: baseball league registration!), in which case “tickets”, “attendee”, and similar wouldn’t apply. I can edit the plugin, but that will be overwritten by updates.

Any suggestions on how to deal with this now?

    Hey @Ryan,

Thanks for reaching out! We currently provide simple filters that you can use in your theme to change the verbiage for “Event”, “Events”, “Venue”, “Venues”, “Organizer”, and “Organizers”. The details on doing this are covered here:

    • https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/relabeling-the-venue-organizer-sections-in-event-meta/

I’m sorry to admit that we don’t yet have a similar easy filter in place for “Tickets”, “Attendees”, etc. But this is something we are actively working on!

If you need to change “tickets” and “attendees” to something else, there is a bit of a “hack”/workaround to pull off changing those words throughout the site. You can read about this method here:

    I hope this information helps!

    No worries!

Stay tuned to future plugin updates to see if new filters for “tickets” and “attendees” ever arrive, which is a project we are exploring and working on.

    Cheers,
    George
