Change Organizer email link?

Hello…Instead of displaying an Organizer’s actual email address on the single event page, is it possible to display “Send Inquiry” text which links to their email address? Thanks in advance!

That’s a cool idea! Unfortunately, there isn’t an easy way to do that. The Organizer Email field does not accept html, so you can’t build a link there. You could add a basic mailto link in the description of the event itself. That might looks something like this.

If you really want a Send Inquiry link to appear next to the other Organizer and Venue information, you could look into some customization to make it happen. We might be able to point you in the right direction for that, but we can only provide light support for that kind of customization.

While I see and appreciate your workaround, I would much rather show a “Send Inquiry” link in replace of the Organizer’s actual email address appearing on the single event page as I just don’t think it’s a wise idea to open up the spambot door to lots of potential users/clients.
That being said, can you steer me in the right direction about customization, or maybe even how to change it to a “Send Inquiry” link that, when you click it, opens a contact form? That would be ideal…

That makes sense. We might be able to point you in the right direction for customizing a link in place of the listed email address. But if you’d like a contact form, you might also look at a third party plugin that does that, and drop the code in the event description while leaving the organizer email field blank. I don’t have a specific plugin in mind, but I know there are options for contact forms. Would that work for you?
