Remove "events" from URL slug

Dear there,

I want to change my URL slug http://events.site.com/events to http://events.site.com/

and

Single event URL: http://events.site.com/event/single-post-name/ to http://events.site.com/single-post-name/

Because my subdomain is “events”, that’s why i don’t need to use “events” text again. What should i do?
