Change Events Page from Wide to Boxed layout

Hello all,

Im just working on a website for a client and can’t figure out how to change the Events page layout.

The rest of the site is using the boxed layout (large margins on side), but the page the events calendar is on is set to wide mode (full width of screen) by default. Can anyone please help me set it to the boxed layout?

Im also not too savvy on adding CSS code so if there’s another way, that would be great.

Hey Darren and welcome to the forums. I hope you’ve been enjoying The Events Calendar and PRO so far. 🙂

Good question. If there’s a specific page template from your theme that you would like to use instead of the current event template, you can change that in Events > Settings > Display (screenshot).  That would be the simplest way to change the layout, using one of your existing page templates.

The other option is to customize the event template itself, which is totally possible in our system. It sounds like you may not be totally comfortable touching code, but we do have a thorough guide that walks through the steps of customizing a layout, should you want to go that route.

Thanks for that! Playing around with different settings did the trick.

I’ve got another question regarding modifying colors for single page events in the CSS code, but I’ll open up another thread for that.
