change default ticket number value from 0 to 1 on first visit?

Hi there, right now when you go to a single event page the ticket price and ticket number field appear. By default the ticket number says 0 and I would like it to say 1 by default. How do I change the default setting to be 1 rather than the 0 it is now? Basically on first visit to a single event page I would like the value of the ticket number to be 1.

I was actually looking at a good third party tutorial that shows how to change the quantity.

Following that you should be able to edit the file in your theme and it will not get overwritten by updates.
