Change Additional Field Labels

Hello! I’m using Events Calendar PRO with the Filter Bar add-on and have added an additional field. I was able to change the meta labels on the other fields but can’t figure out the correct code for changing “Other” on the new field label to something else. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Could you please provide links and/or screenshots so I can understand what you’re referring to when you say you want to change the “Other”?

Thanks for the screenshot. If the name of the Additional Field is “Other”, you should be able to view/edit that at wp-admin > Events > Settings > Additional Fields

Ah, got it. Sorry about the confusion.

FYI: the “Other” text is coming from this file: /wp-content/plugins/events-calendar-pro/src/views/pro/modules/meta/additional-fields.php

There are 2 ways to modify the “Other” text that all of Pro’s additional fields get displayed under (both require touching some code):

1. Follow our Themer’s Guide: [your-child-theme]/tribe-events/pro/modules/meta/additional-fields.php
2. Change “Other” for the “tribe-events-calendar-pro” text domain: https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/change-the-wording-of-any-bit-of-text-or-string/
