Certificates For Attendees.

Once we have checked-in a user we want to print a certificate of completion.

Do you have a plugin that allows this?
If not do you have any recommendations of a plugin that integrates with your events or tickets plugin?

Our plugins do not offer any sort of “Certificate” functionality like you describe, nor do I know of any add-ons or other plugins out there that do this.

Could you elaborate a bit more on what exactly you mean here by “Certificate”? Is this something where, for example, after an attendee “Checks in”, they will be emailed a PDF that looks like a certificate saying “Congrats! You checked in at {Event title}”?

Or something different?

Just curious for more details — as noted, neither our plugins nor any others that I know offer the specific sort of functionality I described above, but if you elaborate a bit more on the specifics of the “certificate” features you are looking for, I might have some recommendations or know of possible opportunities.

What you described would work. We can use a PDF Teemplat e and need variable for class name and student name. So after check in you get a formatted pdf with “You Completed Essential Carbine, Name”

Some of the online learning software offers certificates of completion for the classes. We are using one on maineindoorshooting.com but we opted for your tickets plugin to actually manage the individual class dates. We wanted to try to somehow plug into the the certificates however to show class completion.

While this would not help traditional events venues like plays and concerts the people using this for speaking engagements or classes may find this feature useful. A search of the forum shows others asking for it.

So, while sending a certificate like you describe is within the realm of technical possibility (i.e., it can be theoretically achieved with enough custom coding), it is only possible with some extensive custom coding at this time. 🙁

I cannot find any other plugins out there that provide this specific functionality, either.

I’m sorry to bear the bad news! When it comes to what actionable steps can be done from here, those are as follows:

• If having this feature on your site is essential, then you may find it worthwhile to hire a customizer to custom-build this for you. We have a list of great developers here → http://m.tri.be/18k1 (and we have no affiliation with any of these folks–they’re simply some well-respected names in the community that we’ve compiled).

• If you want to make a formal suggestion for this to be a feature in our plugins, then head over to our UserVoice page here ? http://tribe.uservoice.com On that page, you can submit your ideas and other folks in the community can vote on the idea, comment, share their own desires for how it would work in their opinion, etc. This UserVoice page is where many ideas in our plugins start, and then make it into the products down the road. To be candid and honest, even if that were to happen here, it usually takes several months at least for a feature as complicated as this one to be fully developed and released in the plugin—and it may not ever even make it out of the UserVoice page. 🙁

But the UserVoice page is the best way to make a case for this being a feature in the plugin, and I do hope you post there despite the caveats I mentioned above.

In the meantime, I’m sorry to have to bear the bad news in this thread, but hope the information I’ve shared helps you move forward nonetheless.
