ParticipantThe event listing here is supposed to pull in only one category, but it is currently pulling everything in:
https://pcssnow.org/education-training/mat-training/
This is the shortcode I am using: [tribe_events_list limit=”3″ category=”mat-waiver-training” city=”true” region=”true”]
The first event https://pcssnow.org/event/beyond-the-opioids-what-matters-most-to-people-who-visit-emergency-departments-for-pain-related-complaints/ is not in that category, but it is happening tomorrow so it will likely go away off the calendar.
Is this a bug? I tried clearing my cache, the wordpress cache, re-saving the event that shouldn’t be showing here.

MemberHey Kathryn,
Thank you for reaching out to us!
I’ve just accessed your site and the event you mentioned (“Beyond the Opioids: What Matters Most…”, that is scheduled for today, March 21, 2018) is not showing up on that shortcode as I can see from here (screenshot).
I also ran a test locally and my events are being correctly filtered based on their categories.
Could you please let us know if the issue persists? Do you have any other examples or additional information to send us regarding this error?
Thanks!
Patricia

ParticipantI am still seeing this issue. So on https://pcssnow.org/education-training/mat-training/, today “Basic Tenets of Pain Evaluation…” is showing, but it does not belong in the mat waiver training category. After, today, the above event won’t show, but “Community in Crisis: A Collaborative Approach…” (https://pcssnow.org/event/community-in-crisis-a-collaborative-approach-to-responding-to-the-opioid-epidemic/) is showing and it should not show up in this short code listing. It doesn’t matter what category I put in the short code, it pulls in all the events.

MemberHi Kathryn,
I’m sorry to hear that you are still having problems to filter your events by category.
I’ve ran a new test but still I’m not able to reproduce the error: the shortcode [tribe_events_list limit=”3″ category=”category-name” city=”true” region=”true”] is working properly in my local install.
Could you please make sure that all of your plugins are up to date? The latest versions are:
The Events Calendar 4.6.13 and Events Calendar PRO 4.4.24.2
Also, please make sure that none of these events belong to both categories (webinar and mat-waiver-training simultaneously).
If the issue persists after the plugin update, please run a local test and create new events with a different category and use the shortcode to display them: check if other events with the webinar or mat-waiver-training show up on the list.
If you verify that the problem happens with new categories as well, there’s probably a plugin or theme conflict causing the issue. In this case, I would recommend you to run a Conflicts Test. You can start the test by temporarily deactivating all of your plugins (except Modern Tribe plugins) and changing your theme to another one like Twenty Seventeen and let us know if the problem is solved after that (don’t forget to backup your database before changing anything).
Let me know your test results!
Thanks,
Patricia
